Course Outline : Professional Wrestler
Important info for applicants......
You must provide a medical certificate from a GP which states that you are fit to begin a training program. No applicants will be considered without a copy of the med. cert . Also, If you are under 18 years of age you will need written permission from your parents or legal caregiver.
IWA are truly professional in all working practices. IWA provides all care, correct tuition and instruction for safe working procedures, but accepts no responsibility for loss, sports injury or damages resulting from performing at an IWA live event / training session including traveling to and from the designated premises. You, and not the IWA, are to be responsible and accountable for your own medical expenses, either public healthcare benefits or private medical insurance.
All IWA wrestlers, referees, trainees & ringside staff are covered by a workers compensation policy, in addition, the IWA holds public liability insurance cover at live events. IWA Ent. P/L takes all care, but accepts no responsibility for loss, minor sports injury or personal damages.
No minimum limitations apply to weight, height or body composition and/or fitness levels. Students must provide their own transport to and from designated training facilities. No refunds will be given after the commencement of the course and the IWA reserves the right to expel students on the grounds of misconduct.
IWA promoters are familiar with and will abide by all laws, rules, regulations, terms & conditions that govern the holding of
Pro Wrestling events as set out by NSW Dept Sport & Rec. & Media, Entertainment & Arts Alliance (MEAA). IWA wrestling events are also held in accordance with the State laws for premises licensed under the liquor act. All IWA wrestlers, referees & ringside staff are covered by our own workers compensation policy, in addition, the IWA holds public liability and workers compensation insurance cover.
You may bring a friend or parent to watch you training but they will not be permitted to participate and they will need to pay $10 casual gym fee per visit. Trainees should wear comfortable clothes and shoes to train in and bring a towel. Knee pads and elbow pads are also recommended.
WHAT ARE THE COSTS INVOLVED ?
Training Academy Tuition Fees
$ 1650 (GST Incl.)
Casual Gym Fees Apply - $5 per visit
Payments can be made via direct bank deposit, cheque, money order or cash. Payment plans can be arranged in some cases, usually 4x payments over 8 weeks. Payments are preferred prior but may also be made in full or part on your start date.

WHEN CAN I START TRAINING ?
IWA Pro Wrestling Academy:
Located : 1 Herbert Street, Dulwich Hill Sydney NSW.
Time: Saturdays 12pm-3pm approx
UPCOMING START DATES TO BE ADVISED.
HOW LONG BEFORE I ACTUALLY START WRESTLING ?
On average students need a minimum of 10-12 training sessions before performing at a live event. Some IWA live shows coincide with training dates and whenever possible students are encouraged to attend the live show in addition to training.
