  • Jackson Kelly versus... who? IWA RumbleRock 4 match announcement

IWA Rumble Rock gets increasingly more intriguing Jackson Kelly, IWA's Heavyweight Champion, is closing in on reigning for 700 days. Reigning, but not defending. Since his historic title win on April 17th at IWA's 23 Year Anniversary, putting an end to the longest reigning champion ever 'Cowboy' Chris Abbott in a hellacious Last Man Standing match, Jackson Kelly has not once defended his championship. Jackson Kelly promised to bring 'rules' back to wrestling, enforcing them to pick and choose who he would allow to challenge for his heavyweight championship. No one has yet to 'follow' these 'rules'. By the time we reached April of 2022, after an entire year of his title not being defended, Jackson Kelly announced to the IWA fans that he would officially NEVER be defending his championship title ever again. Out came acting IWA director Robert Oxley, obviously not wanting to let this occur, to confront Jackson Kelly to inform him this would not be possible. Jackson Kelly luckily had an ace up his sleeve. All the way back in August of 2018, IWA hosted MCW for Fighting Spirit 3, a State Of Origin war pitting the two promotions against each other in 5 matches on the night. Robert Oxley had only just recently been appointed IWA director at June's 'IWA - Danger Zone', and not wanting the wrestlers of IWA to take this challenge lightly, instituted a winning clause, that being the 'Fighting Spirit favour'. This granted any of the winning participants on the night to use a favour for whatever they saw fit in the IWA. Chris Abbott, who defeated 'Loverboy' Lochy Hendricks, used his favour first, cashing it in for a title match against Jonah Rock at IWA - Fallout. Randal was next, adding himself into the match with Abbott and Rock. Will Kiedis and Brad Alexander used their favour to become the general managers of IWA - Suplex on the Sand 3 in 2019. That left all the favours used within a matter of months, besides one. 1,323 days later, Jackson Kelly issued his favour - To NEVER defend the IWA Heavyweight Championship ever again. Robert Oxley refused his favour, seeing it as an overreach and threatened to strip Jackson Kelly of his championship. Kelly was in shock, and bargained with Robert for a compromise, which they came to; Jackson Kelly would only defend his championship after an opponent had first beaten him Since this day, no one has been able to defeat Kelly in the IWA, and he has even gone so far as to no-show events in order to not face his opponents (IWA - The Final Ride vs. Jack Pain). IWA Trans-Tasman Champion Jimmy Townsend has been the complete opposite, defending his championship at every opportunity and being the definition of a fighting champion. Jimmy Townsend was throwing shade at Kelly during IWA - The St. Johns Stockade Tournament in January of this year, before Jackson Kelly made a shock appearance. Jackson Kelly ran down Jimmy Townsend and his upcoming opponent and friend Victor Langaz, and made 2 shocking proclamations Kelly decided to make a bet with Jimmy Townsend, putting $1 on the line with the winner being whoever's title reign lasted the longest in the IWA The next pertained to our upcoming event at Club York Kelly announced that he was contractually obligated to appear, and had signed on the dotted line to compete against one of Australia's BEST wrestlers, though, neglecting to say who he was referring too. The IWA fanbase has gone into overdrive speculating on who this person may be. It's more than likely that one of the best wrestlers in this country will be required to dethrone Kelly, as they must be able to overcome Kelly not once, but twice. Whoever they are, we will find out on Thursday the 23rd of March at Club York, and IWA fans across Australia will be hoping for 2 victories and a new champion. IWA - Rumble Rock 4 takes place on Thursday, March 23 at Club York, in the heart of the city of Sydney (a 5 minute walk from Town Hall Station). Tickets are available RIGHT NOW and will feature a to-be-announced live band performing. This event is strictly 18+ Tickets -> https://moshtix.com.au/v2/event/iwa-pro-wrestling-rumble-rock-4/149522

  • 2 Guys, 1 Cup? IWA RumbleRock 4 Match Announcement

RumbleRock 4 is already shaping up to be a wild event. Coming off Will Kiedis' loss in the finals of the IWA St. Johns Stockade Tournament, Kiedis proclaimed this was was because he "can't live with the fact that you [Brad Alexander] beat me", and said he want's to fight Brad Alexander one more time, declaring "you pick the terms, you pick the stipulations" Will Kiedis may come to regret those words on March 23rd at Club York Brad Alexander has chosen to challenge Will Kiedis for his beloved IWA Super Contenders Cup, which grants the owner a match for any title in the IWA, anytime, any place, anywhere. Will Kiedis has held this cup since The Super Contenders Cup Rumble on March 12th, 2020. By the time we reach Club York, Will Kiedis will have held his cup for 1,106 days. Will Kiedis would more than likely not have that cup if it wasn't for the help of Brad Alexander. They worked in tandem throughout the duration of their time in the ring, and Brad also aided Will Kiedis in the elimination of Dazza after Brad was out of the match. Ever since Will Kiedis made Brad Alexander bleed at IWA's 23 Year Anniversary Show, ending their decade plus long friendship, Brad has made it his mission to make Will Kiedis' life HELL, and has promised not to stop the abuse until he makes Will Kiedis BLEED. When they met for their first singles contest at IWA - The Final Ride in October last year, Brad Alexander swiftly made Will Keidis tap, but Brad looked to not be satisfied yet. On March 23rd, Brad Alexander gets the chance to not only defeat his former best-friend and bitter rival again, but attempt to make good on his promise to make him bleed, and take away the most important thing to Will Kiedis - The IWA Super Contenders Cup. Will Kiedis, on the other hand, has the chance to prove he deserves to hold the Super Contenders Cup, defeat the man that has tormented him for over a year, and as he does on any night, have the ability to challenge for and win a championship in the IWA. The stakes could not be higher.

  • Sam Osborne RETURNS, Trans-Tasman Championship Changes Hands on IWA Summer Meltdown Tour

Newly crowned Trans-Tasman Champion Sam Osborne pictured with 'North Shore Sports Entertainment - "The Anchorman" Will Kiedis & "The Sandhill Warrior" Matt Menzies ANYTHING can happen on the IWA Summer Meltdown Tour. After defeating the debuting 'Backman' on night one at South West Rocks Country Club, IWA Trans-Tasman Champion Jimmy Townsend sent out an open challenge to anyone in IWA history, regardless of contractual status, to challenge him for the Trans-Tasman Championship. What seemingly was a celebration of entering the 25th year of the IWA led to the shocking return of recently retired Sam Osborne, who Jimmy Townsend sent into retirement at IWA Relentless: Unfinished Business in January of 2022. Sam Osborne, with the help of Will Kiedis and the debuting Matt Menzies, was able to dethrone Jimmy Townsend at the Laurieton United Services Club for the Trans-Tasman Championship a mere 75 days after dethroning the longest reigning champion Tree Hugger Luchi at IWA - The Final Ride. This was the shortest reign in over 5 and a half years. Since Sam Osborne lost the career vs. career match against Jimmy Townsend in January 2022, he was now wrestling on a per-performance contract, as special leeway had to be allowed due to Townsend's initial challenge as well as his now being the Trans-Tasman Champion. The following night at the Tuncurry Beach Bowling Club, Jimmy Townsend rechallenged Sam Osborne for the Trans-Tasman Championship in a lumberjack match, now evening the unfair odds that North Shore Sports Entertainment originally provided at Laurieton United Services Club, where Osborne captured the championship. After struggling to put the challenger away, Sam Osborne began to walk off from the match, storming backstage. As the ref contemplated having to call the match a no contest, Sam Osbrone was carried back to the ring by the lumberjacks, ensuring the match came to a fair and conclusive finish. Jimmy Townsend soared from the top rope with a moonsault to put the Prize Bull down once and for all, and regain the Tran-Tasman Championship for a 2nd time. IWA returns to Sydney with The St. Johns Stockade Tournament on Saturday January 28th.
